Coriolis flow meters

Coriolis flow meters are one of the most precise types of flow measurement instruments available. They utilize the Coriolis principle, which is the phenomenon of the deviation of the trajectory of a moving object due to the Earth’s rotation.

In a Coriolis flow meter, the fluid flowing through a tube is alternately oscillated by two platforms, causing deformation in the tube itself. This deformation is detected by one or more sensors placed along the tube. When the fluid passes through the tube, its mass causes the tube to oscillate, which is in turn detected by the sensors. Based on the detected deformation, it is possible to calculate the fluid’s flow rate.

The advantages of Coriolis flow meters are their precision, reliability, and the ability to measure high-viscosity or high-density fluids. Additionally, these instruments can measure the flow of fluids in both directions, making them ideal for applications where bidirectional flow monitoring is necessary.
